What’s new in treating Down Syndrome?

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is hosting a free seminar for families of children with Down syndrome.

Participants will learn about recent advances in medical treatment. Topics include: A Parent’s Perspective, Dental & Oral ENT/Audiology, Cardiology, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Hematology/Oncology and Nutrition.

PCH experts Janet Iurilli, RD, CNSD; Yaneav Cohen, DDS; Rupali Drewek, MD; Scott Schraff, MD; James Williams, MD and Joseph Graziano, MD will share innovations in medial treatment. Betsy Boatwright, MD, a physician and mother, will offer the parent’s perspective on having a child with Down syndrome.

The seminar, which runs 7:30am to 12:30pm, is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. It will be held in the Rosenberg Children’s Medical Plaza (Building E) – Melvin Cohen Conference Center at 1920 E. Cambridge Ave., Enter the PCH campus off 20th Street and Cambridge, two blocks south of Thomas Road. Free parking is available in the visitor parking garage.
